  • Networking Opportunities
    We are providing several opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals and expand your network. You can enjoy morning tea, afternoon tea, and lunch each day of the conference (please check the program for timings). In addition, we will host a Welcome Drinks event on Tuesday, October 10th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and a Conference Dinner on Thursday, October 12th, with pre-dinner drinks served from 5:30pm. Don't miss out on these valuable networking opportunities to meet and collaborate with other attendees.
  • Drinking Water
    We encourage all attendees to bring their own reusable water bottles to help reduce waste. There will be a fountain available on-site for refills. Let's work together to make this event eco-friendly.
  • Dietary Requirements
    There will be a dedicated space in the exhibition area (Forum) close to stream 3 where you can find food options that meet your dietary needs. At the conference dinner, a waiter/waitress will come to ask you about your dietary requirements.
  • Lost and found
    If you happen to lose any of your personal belongings during the event, please bring it to the attention of our staff at the registration desk. We will hold onto any lost items and do our best to assist in finding their rightful owner.
  • ALGA Annual General Meeting
    DATE: Wednesday, 11 October 2023 TIME: 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm AEDT LOCATION: Plenary Room, The Grandstand Building, Flemington Racecourse Events Centre, 448 Epsom Road, Flemington Vic 3031 At the meeting, members will have the opportunity to: Hear the results of the 2023 Election of Directors for the ALGA Board Ask questions about the operations and finances of ALGA At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to: Accept the Minutes of the 2022 Annual General Meeting Accept the 2023 Audited Financial Statements Accept a Special Resolution regarding Amendments to the Constitution
  • Wifi
    The venue wifi is free and can be accessed by simply connecting to the Flemington FREE Wifi network. No password is required.

  • Conference Presentations
    Conference presentations will be made available for delegates after the event. We understand that you may not be able to attend every session or may want to review the information presented. Therefore, we will ensure that all* presentations are accessible to delegates post-event. More details on how to access the presentations will be provided at the conference. *Availability is based on the speaker's approval.

  • Conference Dinner
    Pre-dinner drinks will be served from 5.30pm onwards, and dinner will start at 7.30pm. Please feel free to join us anytime during the pre-dinner drinks. The conference dinner will be held at the Flemington Racecourse, in The Grandstand Building – Atrium Room.
  • How to access the venue
    By Car A VIP Car Park is available for all delegates and exhibitors. You can enter the VIP Car Park either through Flemington Drive OR Leonard Crescent. Parking attendants will be on-site to direct cars to the VIP Car Park. Please note that the VIP carpark is the reserved parking area for ecoforum/SustRem, no parking is authorised in the betting ring or other car spaces. ​ Download the map to access the VIP Car Park By Tram Please note the train to the racecourse is only operational on race days, it will not operate during the conference. Tram is the best public transport option to the Racecourse. From Melbourne City, catch Tram No. 57 West Maribyrnong (departs from the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street), alight from the tram at Stop 30 Flemington Racecourse/Epsom Rd. Stop 30 is 1.3km away (15 minutes walk) from the Grandstand Building where ecoforum/SustRem will take place.
